Why the equality Index ?
Its objective is to improve professional equality between women and men in the workplace in France.
This index is part of Goal 8 of sustainable development targets defined by all members of the United Union Organization : to promote sustained, shared, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.
How is this index composed ?
The index is scored on 100 points and calculated based on 5 indicators.
- The gender pay gap
- The difference in the distribution of individual salary increases
- The number of female employees receiving a salary increase upon return from maternity leave
- Parity among the 10 highest remunerations.
What are the duties ?
If the index is under 75 points out of 100, the company must set up a 3-year progression plan.
